Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is nestled along the Lion Hill overlooking the spectacular flamingo pink rimmed Lake Nakuru. Its location affords panoramic vistas of the Lake and the picturesque Lake Nakuru National Park. A short two hour drive from Nairobi, the Lodge is a favourite with residents and visitors to Kenya.
The Lodge is cleverly laid out such that most rooms and sitting areas afford stunning views of the Lake and the Park. The Lodge incorporates natural landscaping with tall acacia trees, winding walkways and greens dotted with bird feeds. Spread over acres, the Lodge is a natural haven for bird life and attracts over 50 species of birds amongst the 400 species that inhabit the Park.
Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is located on a hill side bordering Lake Nakuru with expansive views of the Lake in the heart of Lake Nakuru National Park in the Rift Valley Province of Kenya. The Lodge is 160 kms from Nairobi, a two hour drive on good tarmac road or 30 minutes by private charter to the Park airstrip which is a 30 minute drive to the Lodge, through the Park.

All chalet style rooms and suites at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge have: Private patios with panoramic views of the flamingo pink rimmed Lake Nakuru ensuite bathrooms with permanent showers and WC, running hot & cold water, razor outlets with 220 and 240 voltsbeds with mosquito nets and duvets 240V power 24 hours.
FOOD & WINE:
The Main restaurant serving buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner with live cooking counters preparing speciality dishes. Cuisine includes Pan-African, Pan-European and Pan-Asian .The Salad buffet has a wide variety of salads using the fresh ingredients and herbs from the Lodge's own vegetable and herb garden. The Dessert Buffet has a selection of mouthwatering desserts.
FACILITIES:
A Main Restaurant, Bar and al fresco or private dining for the Suites. The swimming pool adjoins a wellness room. There is an activity room well stocked with indoor games and other recreation facilities for children, a well-equipped meeting room and a Sarova Shop for gifts and souvenirs. The entire Lodge is surrounded by a 24 hour electric fence.
ACTIVITIES:
Game Drives; There are well marked driving tracks around the lake and all over the park where you can enjoy a self driven safari in your own vehicle or hire one with a guide from the lodge.
Bird-watching; Lake Nakuru is an ornithologist’s paradise with over 400 recorded species of birds. Around the Lake one can find flamingoes, a wide range of waders including Avocet, while large rafts of Pelican can also be seen sweeping the water in unison.
Visit to Baboon Cliff; The Baboon Cliff is located on one of the highest points on the hills surrounding the lake with stunning views and a picnic site where visitors can get off and enjoy the scenery.
